Classical location algorithms for ground target using twin-radar system are nonlinear estimation problems. But the inherent error of measurement data results in low positioning accuracy of location algorithm based on nonlinear estimation. In this paper, a new location algorithm is developed, which transforms measurement data into geometric figures and locates targets using geometry analytic method. All factors that can effects on positioning accuracy in all kinds of cases are analyzed. The algorithm has advantages of small calculation, high long-distance positioning accuracy and so on..Finally,the simulation results are given to illustrate that the algorithm has obviously good performance on improving positioning accuracy.
